Golf del Sur, which was originally designed by Pepe Gancedo was remodelled in 2005 by Manuel Pií±ero and has become the first course in Tenerife with three competition circuits, each comprising of 9 holes. It is a very enjoyable design with outstanding black volcanic sand bunkers, large greens, wide fairways and the difficulties of the two lakes that affect holes 3, 4 and 5 of the Links course.
The wide fairways are surrounded by a great variety of indigenous flora that makes up a real oasis of 800,000m2 next to the Atlantic Ocean. Palm trees and giant cacti line the course which has dedicated special attention to the conservation of its flora and fauna.
